XXXTentacion’s postumous Skins album touched down earlier this month, and the project was led by the single “Bad!” We’ve actually had quite a while to let “Bad” circulate through our playlists before the album dropped. It’s just as brief as most of the tracks on Skins, but it has one of the highest replay values on the project as well. X’s vocals caress the track, which exists somewhere between a booty-shaking banger and love making song. A music video for “Bad!” premiered at Rolling Loud Los Angeles on Friday night, and it’s made its way online.
Directed and animated by Tristan Zammit, the visuals take X to the world of anime. Scenes cut between the late rapper’s different hairstyles as he raps in a barren field. X’s energy interacts with the environment, and causes life to begin growing from the ground. Soon, the life begins to pull X down, and he becomes one with a tree of life.
