Solid Spark: Featured Artist of the Week
In the fall of 2013, native New Yorker, Solid Spark, took to the stage at Sullivan Hall, where he showcased his budding talent. Before Solid Spark was even legal to enter venues, he was creating the spark that kept people coming back night after night to move their bodies and escape their realities. This was the beginning of Solid Spark’s music career and soon after that first night, Solid Spark began performing at venues, private parties, colleges, listening rooms, and bars throughout New York City. Known for his unique style and eclectic sound, Solid Spark’s music is timeless. Mixing electronic varieties, Solid Spark’s repertoire consists of house, chill, electro-house, dubstep, and more. Solid Spark uses Ableton to create music and states, “it’s the best production tool out there, there’s nothing like it.” Often accompanied by synthesizers, piano, bass and drums, Solid Spark redefines music as he experiments with a new approach, stepping outside the boundaries of popular culture.
Solid Spark’s initial influence, deadmau5, ignited a passion to independently produce and share electronic music with the world. He remembers being invigorated by the different sounds and emotions fueled within each track. Other influences such as Madeon, Wolfgang Gartner, Aphex Twin, have shaped Solid Spak’s creative direction over the years. Solid Spark’s natural ability, coupled with his strong will and determination, has helped push his artistry forward and continues to drive his development and success. Throughout the years, Solid Spark continues to release powerhouse track-after-track. From ‘Spark’ to ‘Moments’ to ‘Redline’ to ‘Hypercolour’, Solid Spark’s music is suitable for all electronic music fans.
