ASAP Rocky Releases “Don’t Be Dumb” Album

Finally, A$AP Rocky has released his much-awaited new album, “Don’t Be Dumb.”

On Friday, January 16th, the rapper from Harlem, New York, dropped his first solo album in seven years. “Don’t Be Dumb” has 17 tracks and features producers like The Alchemist, Tyler, The Creator, Pharrell Williams, Mike Dean, and more. There are also guest appearances from Tyler, The Creator, Westside Gunn, Doechii, Sauce Walka, and others. The album explores different music styles and includes the singles “Punk Rocky” and “Helicopter$.”

The album was originally planned to come out in August 2024 but was delayed because of sample clearance issues. In early 2025, Rocky dealt with legal problems but was found not guilty of assault charges related to a shooting incident with his former friend, A$AP Relli.

Fans were eager for the album after the legal issues were resolved, and things looked hopeful. “The album’s done,” Rocky told GQ last February. “I just want to release it and deliver what I’ve promised for a long time.”

Despite this, Rocky spent the rest of 2025 on other projects. He had his third child with Rihanna in September. In December, he confirmed the album would come out at the beginning of the new year.
