Earlier this week, Megan Thee Stallion took to the stage at Kamala Harris’ rally in Atlanta to show her support for the Vice President in the upcoming election. She performed some of her biggest songs like “Body” and “Mamushi.” She also started a campaign called “Hotties for Harris” to encourage young fans to vote. However, not everyone liked her performance. Many people on social media criticized her for twerking on stage, saying it wasn’t appropriate for the event.
Despite the backlash, Megan didn’t seem bothered. At Lollapalooza, she talked about the criticism and made it clear that she wouldn’t change her style because of it. “They were mad that I was dancing for Kamala,” she said, reaffirming her support for Harris and shouting, “Hotties for Harris, god dammit!“
During her performance, Megan also talked about Harris’ views on important issues like women’s rights. She emphasized this at the Atlanta rally, mentioning Roe v. Wade and encouraging the crowd to vote for Harris if they care about their bodies. Megan has long been an advocate for reproductive healthcare and even received the 2024 Catalyst of Change Award from Planned Parenthood.
