It’s been a rough week for Lil Yachty. The Georgia-born artist seems tired of all the drama. Just yesterday, he faced backlash for his comments about New York City’s fashion on his podcast. “When it comes to style, I think New York has nothing special going on,” he said. “You guys like Purple Label and Amiri. You also wear a lot of brands from your friends. We can tell.”
Yachty also appeared on the Flagrant podcast and talked about Drake‘s famous rap competition with Kendrick Lamar. He admitted he regrets speaking on it. “I think people just hate on Drake because he’s the guy… It’s also because he f*cked everyone’s b*tch.”
Lil Yachty Has Had Enough
His remarks caused a big backlash. Now, on Instagram Live, he says he’s taking a break from the internet. Even though he has to keep doing his podcast, he won’t be posting elsewhere. “I’m done with this internet stuff… I have to do this podcast, but that’s it. I’m deleting the apps from my phone, I swear,” he said.
He might stay offline for the rest of the year, but only time will tell. What do you think about Lil Yachty facing backlash for his comments about Drake and New York fashion? Do you think people are overreacting? And what about him leaving the internet? Share your thoughts in the comments and keep an eye on ABOG for more updates.
