Lil Wayne’s Handwritten Song Lyrics Listed for $5 Million Following Legal Dispute

In 2019, a company called Moments In Time tried to sell one of Lil Wayne’s old notebooks for $250,000. The notebook supposedly has lyrics for songs like “I Feel” and “We On Fire,” likely written when Lil Wayne was a teenager. The man who found the notebook said he discovered it in an old car that used to belong to Cash Money Records and kept it in his garage.

When Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, the notebook was almost destroyed. However, it survived with little damage. The man then decided to sell it. Lil Wayne found out and his lawyers sent a letter demanding the notebook back.

Moments In Time later defended the high price of the notebook, which is now up for sale for $5 million. They argued that since Lil Wayne is considered one of the greatest rappers (GOAT), his old lyrics are very valuable.

The man who had the notebook refused to return it without being paid, and a court ruled in his favor. The notebook is still for sale, and it’s not clear how Lil Wayne feels about someone else making money from his old work.
