Kodak Black & Lil Pump Turn Up On "Gnarly"

Kodak Black reasserted himself as the Sunshine State’s hottest rapper on Friday when he dropped off “Dying To Live.” The album features some deep reflection from Black, but tucked in between the street bangers and introspective bars is the party single “Gnarly.” The term is heavily connected to surf culture, and originally meant dangerous, disgusting, or crazy in a negative light. It has been reinvented by Black for the single. He uses the term instead in the same way would one use “crazy” or “hype” to describe the level of intensity he wishes to achieve.

The chorus is somewhat hilarious. Black sings about taking penis pills and having sex with a woman who is on Molly. That would make for an interesting experience. The sing-song flows from Black match well with Lil Pump, who enters the track in his usual hype manner.

Quotable Lyrics
Lil bitch, I told you that you ain’t important (Ain’t important)
I heard you ain’t got no papers so you got deported (Yeah, ooh)
I woke up in the mornin’ with another warrant (Goddamn)
Well, bitch ain’t gonna catch me ’cause I’m still tourin’ (Ooh, yeah)
