Shoreline Mafia is stepping into a new chapter but still keeps the West Coast vibe that helped them earn gold records and many popular songs. Fenix Flexin and Ohgeesy spent last year giving fans a new album, lots of collaborations, streaming hits, and even performed at Coachella for the first time in over five years. They talked to AlwaysBeOG’s Talk It Up series, powered by DistroKid, about the music they’re making, working with Coi Leray, and what’s next.
The duo from California is one of the few remaining rap groups. In 2020, Fenix, 30, and Ohgeesy, 32, released their album Mafia Bidness during the pandemic, featuring hits like “Bands” and “Perc Popper.” They later focused on solo projects for a while. Fenix released four projects, including Fenix Flexin Vol. 1 through 3, and Back Flexin from 2021 to 2024. Ohgeesy dropped GeezyWorld and GeezyWorld 2, teamed up with Berner for Trophies, and released Paid N Full between 2021 to 2025.

After four years, the two reunited for their Back in Bidness album last spring, which included tracks like “Touch Down” and “Back 2 Back.” They also made waves with appearances on Coi’s “Act Like You Know” and YG’s “Hollywood” in 2025. This fresh era is bringing them a lot of attention. “I think the fans are loving it,” Ohgeesy says. “We got three gold records in a year.”
“Our longtime fans are still with us,” Fenix adds. “But there’s a new generation of fans who found our music over the past four years and are just now seeing who we are. It’s exciting for them to put faces to the sounds they’ve been enjoying.”
When it came to their song with Coi, “Act Like You Know,” they were surprised to learn she had been following their music for a while. “She was already into our stuff,” Ohgeesy shares. “When we heard the beat, we knew it was a perfect fit, especially with that West Coast sound.” Fenix agrees, “It just felt right.”
Looking ahead to 2026, Shoreline Mafia is preparing new music. They’re finding their direction, aiming for sounds that appeal to the ladies and show growth. “We’re making meaningful music,” Fenix explains. “Stuff that reflects our growth and things our fans can relate to.” Ohgeesy adds, “We’re creating something mature and cool.”
