50 Cent Responds to Victory in $1 Billion “Power” Lawsuit Filed by Ex-Drug Kingpin

Recently, AllHipHop shared that 50 Cent won a big lawsuit against former drug lord Cory “Ghost” Holland. Holland claimed that 50 Cent used his life story, which he shared on his 2007 CD Blasphemy, as the basis for the TV show Power. Holland sued him for $1 billion, but the court ruled in favor of 50 Cent.

50 Cent quickly went on social media to talk about his win, showing he was always confident. He joked, “Fool thought he was GHOST😆,” next to a news story about his legal victory. “Da fvck wrong wit these 🥷🏾’s man 🤨LOL @bransoncognac @lecheminduroi.”

Judge Analisa Torres said that Power does not directly talk about Holland, which is needed for a defamation case. She also mentioned that any similarities between Holland’s life and the show’s story are likely just coincidences. The court case is now over, but things got tense before, with Holland allegedly threatening 50 Cent’s life earlier this year. Holland reportedly said, “If someone gets killed because your client threatened me and my family, file a motion for that. I’m not playing with your client anymore.”

“50 Cent messes with people’s lives. He humiliates them, comes to their homes, then plays the victim. He’s always involved in some drama. The plaintiff warned 50 Cent, he’s not an entertainer.” Unsurprisingly, 50 Cent’s lawyers were very worried about this threat and told the court they would inform the local authorities.
